We are looking for a dynamic, detail-oriented Accountant to join our growing team in
Somerset West and surrounding area.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for an Accountant
based in Western Cape.

The accountant will be responsible for:

  • Managing and overseeing the daily operations.
  • Monitoring and analyzing accounting data
  • Producing accurate financial reports and statements
  • Establishing and enforcing accounting methods, policies, and principles within the team
  • Improving systems and procedures, and initiating corrective actions where necessary
  • Managing budgets and preparing tax returns
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations
  • Travel to clients - own transport a requirement.

Qualifications

  • B.Com Accounting degree (or equivalent). Honours degree will be advantageous
  • Minimum of 1+ years
    post-article experience
    within an accounting or auditing practice
  • Registered accountant in good standing with SAICA, SAIPA, CIBA, SAIT, CIMA, or ACCA (
    non-negotiable
    )
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and budgeting
  • Proficiency in
    Microsoft Excel
    and advanced knowledge and proven experience in
    accounting software
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven experience with tax preparation and compliance
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
