We are looking for a reliable, skilled, and customer-focused individual to join our Workshop Team as a Diesel Technician. This role is essential in maintaining and repairing company vehicles and equipment, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality operations in line with Chamberlain standards.

This position will be based at the Workshop in Waltloo, Pretoria.

REQUIREMENTS:

· Valid Code 10 Drivers License

· N3 – N6 Diesel Mechanic (Engineering Studies) qualification

· Understanding of mechanical systems and tools

· Physical stamina, ability to perform physically demanding tasks and lifting of heavy objects

· Integrity, reliability and eagerness to assist

· Strong verbal communication

· Specialist technical knowledge (diesel mechanics, maintenance, diagnostics)

· Ability to solve problems effectively and apply correct maintenance practices

· Contactable references (various background screening checks will be done)

RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Perform preventative maintenance to ensure all vehicles and equipment operate safely and reliably.

· Assist qualified mechanics with daily repair and service tasks. Repair, adjust, and replace faulty parts using sound technical knowledge

· Maintain a clean, organised, and safe workshop environment, including daily and weekly housekeeping.

· Provide accurate feedback to the qualified mechanics and the workshop foreman.

· Ensure all tools, equipment, and stock items are correctly packed and stored.
