Job Description
Essence of the job:
The SHE officer identifies, reviews and evaluates hazards within the work environment; implements the controls and the preventive measures; and prevents injuries resulting from environmental factors.
Qualification:
Registered with SACPCMP as a Health and Safety Officer (Proof of Registration is required)
Matric Certificate
SAMTRAC, NEBOSCH or equivalent certification
Knowledge of the National Environmental Act; Occupational Health and Safety Act, National Traffic Act; Municipal by-laws and company policies and procedures that will need to be followed.
Minimum Requirements:
3 -5 Years of experience within a SHE Officer position within Building Construction.
Knowledge of construction processes, equipment, materials and products.
Understanding and implementing of ISO 9001, 14001, 18001 and 45001.
Drivers' License essential.
Proficient in Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook.
Proficient in Internet Searching and Analysis.
Ability to deal responsibly with confidential information.
Planning, organizing, prioritizing and Time management skills are important.
Proficient in analyzing numerical, verbal and other sources of information to provide solutions and Reports.
