Position: Senior Accountant / Bookkeeper

Location: Cape Town (On-site)

Salary: R15,000 per month

Experience Required: Minimum 10 years

About Us

We are a growing group of companies seeking a reliable, highly experienced Accountant to manage daily financial operations, compliance, reporting, and general office administration. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organised, and able to work independently across multiple businesses.

Key Responsibilities

  • Daily bookkeeping across the group

  • Debtors & creditors management

  • Bank reconciliations & cash-flow monitoring

  • Monthly management accounts preparation

  • PAYE, VAT, UIF submissions (SARS eFiling)

  • Handling SARS queries and follow-ups

  • Payroll processing

  • Office management & administrative oversight

  • Reporting & data analysis for management decision-making

  • Maintaining accurate financial records and filing systems

  • Assisting with budgeting and forecasting

  • Ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies

Software Proficiency

  • Xero

  • Sage

  • Advanced Excel / Google Sheets (pivot tables, lookups, reporting)

Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years accounting/bookkeeping experience

  • Solid understanding of SARS processes and statutory submissions

  • Strong organisational and multitasking skills

  • High attention to detail and accuracy

  • Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines

  • Professional communication skills

  • Experience working in a multi-company environment is an advantage
