Distribution Lead

Capital Raising:

Raise capital across private credit, venture capital, private equity, direct property, hedge funds and multi-asset products (funds, co-invests, SPVs).

Build and convert a segmented pipeline (family offices, wealth partners, institutions, charities).

Build and deepen SA market networks; run disciplined roadshows and deal processes, coordinating closely with investment and legal teams.

Distribution Growth & Partnership:

Grow the distribution platform of Alpha Private Capital products.

Create, maintain and expand priority channels (wealth managers/IFAs, private banks, platforms, institutions).

Onboard/enable partners; work directly with Wealth Managers and their clients.

Track channel performance/ROI and reallocate effort to what converts.

Monitoring/tracking of performance of identified distribution channels and partners.

Investor Relations & Reporting:

Own the investor communications calendar (quarterly reports, capital calls/distributions, AGMs, ad-hoc updates) with content from the investment team.

Act as primary point of contact & manage enquiries.

Ensure all materials are accurate, timely, and decision-useful; manage DDQs/RFPs and data hygiene.

Marketing:

Development and implementation of effective marketing strategies for institutions, intermediaries and sophisticated investors.

Turn investment content into market-ready materials (e.g. briefs, fact sheets, decks, web copy, case studies).

Run targeted campaigns for institutions, intermediaries and sophisticated investors; attend/speak at select events.

Market Intelligence:

Monitor trends, competitors and regulatory developments; surfacenimplications for messaging, targeting and pacing.

Share insights that improve win-rates, shorten sales cycles and improve capital raising effectiveness.

Track investor satisfaction and feedback; drive continuous improvements in clarity and responsiveness.

Compliance & Risk:

Ensure all distribution activity aligns with licenses, cross-border rules and internal policies; escalate issues promptly.

Maintain audit-ready records of communications and performance presentations (source data, calculations, approvals).

Coordinate with Compliance on monitoring, attestations and training.

Internal Collaboration & Enablement:

Work with Client Services, Reporting, Finance and underlying investment teams.

Support ad-hoc business needs; the role is flexible with scope to grow responsibilities.

Bachelor's degree in finance/commerce/economics (post-grad an advantage).

CFA or CA(SA) preferred (equivalent), with evidence of ongoing CPD and high professional

integrity.

FAIS "Fit and Proper" compliant or willing to obtain within 6–12 months, RE5 and/or RE1 advantageous, depending on scope.

8–12+ years in private markets (private equity, venture capital, private credit, infrastructure or real estate) with visible closes and multi-segment investor relationships.

5+ years in capital raising/distribution with a track record of AUM/fund growth.

Strong networks across wealth managers, private banks, IFAs, family offices, institutions, and sophisticated investors.

Proven delivery of investor materials and communications (investment packs, updates, DDQs/RFPs; AGM preparation).

Solid product fluency across PE, VC, private credit, direct property, hedge and multi

asset; comfort with funds, co-invests and SPVs.

Working literacy in FAIS/FSCA requirements.

Demonstrated ability to pitch funds/deals and raise capital across institutions, platforms, intermediaries and sophisticated investors.

Strong stakeholder management and networking; builds and maintains senior, trust-based relationships.

Proficient with Salesforce or similar CRM; maintains clean pipeline data and reporting cadence.
