We are looking for a Health And Safety Officer to join the team.
Duties & Responsibilities- Develop, implement, and maintain the company's Health and Safety Management System (HSMS).
- Conduct regular risk assessments and safety audits across all operational areas.
- Ensure compliance with the OHS Act, COIDA, and other relevant legislation.
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses; compile reports and recommend corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate records of incidents, inspections, and corrective actions.
- Coordinate health surveillance and risk-based monitoring programs.
- Promote safety leadership and employee involvement in safety initiatives
- National Diploma or Degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or related field.
- SAMTRAC, NEBOSH, or equivalent certification preferred.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar HSE role.
- In-depth knowledge of OHSA legislation and standards.
- Experience with incident investigation and risk management.
