We are hiring
Group Accountant
to join our Finance South Africa team. The key focus of this role is to ensure timely and accurate financial accounting of transactions and the reporting thereof in terms of relevance to management of all the South African entities.

Minimum Qualifications:
B.com (Accounting) with 3-5 years relevant experience.

Desirable Qualification:
Registered CA (SA)

Some of your key responsibilities and deliverables:

  • Balance Sheet Management:
    Ensure accurate and complete balance sheets, process general ledger journals, reconcile accounts, resolve manager queries, assist with finalisation and distribution, compile balance sheets, ensure balance sheets are sent to auditors, prepare audit files, and solve auditor queries.
  • Asset Register Management:
    Ensure accurate and complete asset register, update monthly with new assets, obtain documents from creditors and enter onto schedules, perform monthly depreciation, record disposals, and balance asset schedules to general ledger.
  • SARS VAT Payments:
    Extract in and output VAT reports, reconcile VAT to general ledger, and execute payment of correct VAT amount on or before the 25th of each month.
  • Month end Reporting -
    ensuring accurate reports are delivered and consolidation of reports
  • Stakeholder Management:
    Resolve manager queries, follow up on complaints, and provide ongoing feedback.
