Grow, Innovate, Succeed We have an incredible opportunity for a Technical Supervisor - Workshop at CIRO Technical in Meadowdale, Gauteng. In this role, you will responsible for the Technical Workshop and ensure the department runs smoothly on a daily basis.

Reporting Structure:

• Reports to: National Technical Manager

Key Areas of Impact:

Create a commercially driven Technical team

• Implementation and overseeing processes and procedures to deliver efficiencies, reduce operational cost and increase response time to our customers.
• Track and report on technical cost drivers.
• Create a business culture which takes financial and money spend considerations into account whilst in the process of repairing equipment.

Effective supervision of the Workshop team

• Oversee the resource and leave planning for department.
• Assist the Technical Manager with Individual Performance Agreements (IPA) appraisals.
• Ensure that the Ciro Technical Workshop Team is kept informed of and operates within AVI policy, local regulations and legislation and good corporate governance.
• Create a team culture of commitment and delivery against pre-determined objectives, values and business requirements.
• Monitor and review the daily, weekly and monthly performance indicators to ensure technical effectiveness and take corrective action decisively as and when required to do so.

Operational Effectiveness

• Ensure workload planning and that priorities are aligned to sales expectations and that technical resource are scheduled accordingly.
• Daily scheduling of workload to the Workshop Technicians and monitor their progress.
• Evaluate the need for 911's and reschedule resource accordingly.
• Must be able to repair technical equipment at customers or in the workshop to assist the team when the workload exceeds the available resources.
• Provide technical support and problem solving abilities to the Inland region in both the sales and technical departments.
• Track and monitor the timely execution of regional workflows.
• Ensure the implementation of technical projects and get approval from the Technical Manager to improve operations.
• Serve as a member of the SHE committee for Inland Technical.

Inventory management and sourcing of equipment and spares

• Review workshop spares MRP report, daily and feedback to purchasing on the requirements.
• Request adhoc spares not indicated on MRP report for planned maintenance or future installations.
• Track out of stock spares and escalate the needs with the planning team.
• Track and internal sourcing of new and asset equipment as per workflow reports.
• Appropriate inventory management controls implemented to mitigate risk.
• Ensure Quarterly stock counts are done on new equipment, asset equipment, and boot stock locations and spares cage.

What It Takes to Succeed:

Experience that set you up for success:

• Minimum 5 years as a Service Technician
• Minimum 3 years' Customer Support or Sales experience within an FMCG environment
• Front End Customer Services experience is essential
• HORECA experience would be highly advantageous

Qualifications & Certifications that will contribute to your success:

• Completed Grade 12 / Matric
• The ideal candidate will hold a Electrical or Mechanical qualification

Additional Requirements that will enhance your impact for success:

• Experience working on MS Office is advantageous
• Must have experience working on SAP and Excel
• Valid Driver's License with a minimum of 2 years solid driving experience
