Job description and responsibilities
- Leadership: Manage, lead, and motivate the aftersales team, which may include service advisors, technicians, and other support staff.
- Strategy and performance: Develop and implement aftersales strategies to improve customer satisfaction and retention. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and analyze metrics to identify areas for improvement.
- Financial management: Create and manage departmental budgets, control expenses, and ensure profitability targets are met.
- Operations: Oversee daily operations for service, parts, and warranty departments. Ensure compliance with all manufacturer standards and company policies.
- Customer relations: Handle escalated customer complaints and resolve issues promptly. Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers.
- Staff development: Conduct regular training and development programs for the aftersales team to ensure they meet brand and performance requirements.
Qualifications and skills
- Education: A degree in business, marketing, or a related field is often preferred, though professional experience is also highly valued.
- Experience: Professional experience in sales or after-sales is essential.
- Leadership: Proven ability to lead and manage a team.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication, with strong interpersonal skills.
- Analytical: Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret data and metrics.
- Problem-solving: Exceptional problem-solving skills to handle customer and operational issues.
- Technical: Proficiency with relevant software, including dealer management systems and Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Excel).
- Personal attributes: Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure.
