Organisational Design Specialist (Contract – 6 Months)

About the Role:

Ventura Smiths is seeking an experienced
Organisational Design Specialist
to support a large-scale organisational transformation on a 6-month contractual engagement. This role will play a critical part in enabling organisational design and effectiveness initiatives following the implementation of an already defined new
Target Operating Model (TOM)
and multiple strategic change programs.

Specifically the OD Specialist will design and develop the Job Architecture along with the level 3 and 4 structures to mobilise the new TOM.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Job Architecture:
  • Design and develop a comprehensive job architecture framework, including role sizing, governance, and methodologies for job creation and evaluation.
  • Job Descriptions:
  • Develop and maintain job descriptions that clearly define responsibilities, accountabilities, and decision rights.
  • Organisational Structure Design:
  • Design and maintain organisational structures aligned to business goals and TOM principles.
  • Conduct structural analysis and provide recommendations for simplification of team structures and workflows.
  • Change Management & Collaboration:
  • Partner with leaders, People & Culture (HR) teams, and other departments to support and implement transformation programs.
  • Advocate for best practices in change management and organisational enablement.
  • Governance & Methodology:
  • Apply organisational design principles and frameworks to ensure consistency and alignment across the organisation.
  • Stakeholder Engagement:
  • Collaborate with business leaders and project teams to ensure OD interventions are integrated into broader transformation initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in
    Organisational Design
    within large, complex organisations.
  • Strong understanding of
    job architecture, role sizing, and organisational structure design
    .
  • Familiarity with
    Corporate and Investment Banking
    environments is highly advantageous.
  • Experience working within
    Target Operating Model (TOM)
    frameworks.
  • Ability to develop and implement methodologies, templates, and governance frameworks.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Industrial Psychology Degree, or other relevant HR Degree..
