Fixed Term Project Manager – Finance Transformation

Are you ready to help shape the future of financial reporting at a leading global company?

Large Mining Group is embarking on an ambitious journey: transitioning from a Foreign Private Issuer (FPI) to a U.S. Domestic Filer – with this transformation targeted for completion by the end of 2026.

We're searching for a proactive and driven Fixed-Term Contractor (FTC) to join the project team for up to 2 years.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Audit Firm project management and lead delivery across multiple project streams
  • Drive and coordinate the transition from IFRS to US GAAP across Group's financial statements and business units
  • Support SAP-level US GAAP implementation
  • Help re-write HFM reporting systems to meet new strict deadlines
  • Convert and prepare 20F/10K/10Q reports; support quarterly reporting
  • Redesign closing and SOX control processes for earlier, more robust reporting
  • Build new processes for 8K rapid reporting and adapt for performance metrics
  • Analyze tax implications and support cross-team resourcing and training
  • Enable change management and support key stakeholder reporting
  • Align with PwC and other auditors for accelerated audit and reporting cycles

What We're Looking For

  • Deep experience in financial reporting, IFRS, US GAAP, and project management
  • Proven track record managing multi-stakeholder, technical transitions
  • Ability to work in SAP and HFM environments
  • Highly collaborative mindset and excellent communication skills
  • Analytical approach to problem solving and process improvement
  • Comfort with tight deadlines, change, and occasional travel (Johannesburg and internationally)
