Job Advert Summary

To provide onsite analytical services, perform onsite sampling, analysing, interpreting results calibration and verification of laboratory instruments, making up and standardizing of reagents, audit and plant inspection services for filters, monitoring ISO protocols and quality in laboratory as part of the Process Quality Manager water quality compliance responsibilities.

Minimum Requirements


• Grade 12 (National Senior Certificate)
• Diploma in Analytical Chemistry or S4 in analytical chemistry
• Computer literacy in Word and Excel
•2years experience in laboratory
• A valid driver's license with the ability to pass Rand Water's K53 driver test
• Proof of relevant prior learning through Rand Water's development programmes or their equivalent elsewhere will be an advantage.
• Experience in a quality control environment and accredited laboratory.

Primary Duties


•Conduct sampling onsite laboratory
• perform analysis - liquid and solid samples
• Inspection of filters
• Calibration and verification - laboratory equipment
• Compile reports - weekly and monthly
• Risk management : maintain information and knowledge in the section
• Customer services and liaison - maintain the customer and marketing services of the section protection of personnel and assets
