Duties & Responsibilities

Junior Accountant:

  • Assist senior accountants with financial statements, tax returns, and compliance documents.

  • Perform bookkeeping tasks, including data entry and reconciliations.

  • Conduct research and analysis to support accounting processes.

  • Handle client queries and requests.

  • Learn and apply accounting software and technologies.

Mid-Level Accountant:

  • Prepare financial statements, tax returns, and compliance documents.

  • Manage monthly accounting processes, including bank reconciliations and accounts payable/receivable.

  • Support audit processes.

  • Communicate with clients on accounting matters.

  • Identify and resolve accounting issues.

Senior Accountant:

  • Manage a portfolio of clients, building and maintaining strong relationships.

  • Prepare and review financial statements, tax returns, and compliance documents.

  • Supervise and mentor a small team of accountants.

  • Stay up to date with the latest accounting and tax regulations.

  • Contribute to the growth and development of the firm.

Financial Manager:

  • Oversee and manage a portfolio of FM clients, ensuring high-quality financial service delivery.

  • Prepare, review, and analyse management accounts, budgets, cash flows, and financial reports.

  • Provide strategic financial guidance and support decision-making for clients.

  • Lead and mentor the FM team, ensuring strong performance and professional development.

  • Maintain strong client relationships and address complex financial queries.

  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal processes.

  • Identify opportunities to improve client financial performance and operational efficiency.

Desired Experience & Qualification

Junior Accountant:

  • Relevant accounting qualification (BCom Accounting or equivalent).

  • Strong academic record.

  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Willingness to learn and a positive attitude.

  • Bonus: Practical accounting experience (e.g., internships) and proficiency in accounting software.

Mid-Level Accountant:

  • Relevant accounting qualification (BCom Accounting or equivalent).

  • 2-4 years of practical accounting experience.

  • Solid understanding of accounting principles and practices.

  • Experience preparing financial statements and tax returns.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Bonus: Experience with multiple accounting software platforms and a proactive problem-solving approach.

Senior Accountant:

  • Relevant accounting qualification (BCom Accounting or equivalent).

  • 4+ years of accounting experience or completed articles.

  • Strong technical accounting skills.

Financial Manager:
