Accounts Controller – Pool Construction Company

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle day-to-day bookkeeping, reconciliations, and supplier payments
  • Prepare and submit EMP201, EMP501, and VAT returns accurately and on time
  • Generate client statements, invoices, and payment reminders
  • Manage creditors, debtors, and petty cash
  • Maintain accurate records and support management with monthly reporting
  • Liaise with external accountants and management regarding financial queries
  • Ensure compliance with SARS and statutory deadlines
  • Implement and maintain practical systems to keep financial admin running smoothly

Requirements
Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years' bookkeeping or accounting experience (construction or service industry preferred)
  • Solid knowledge of SARS submissions, VAT, and payroll processing
  • Proficient in [insert your accounting software, e.g. Sage, QuickBooks, or Zoho Books]
  • Strong Excel and communication skills
  • High attention to detail and ability to work independently
  • Proven track record of reliability and meeting deadlines
