Position: Relationship Executive

Department: Sales / Business Development / Client Relations

Reports to: Business Development Manager / Head of Business Development

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Relationship Executive to manage and grow our portfolio of key accounts in Durban and the surrounding KwaZulu-Natal region. The ideal candidate will be a proactive and strategic thinker with a proven ability to understand client needs, provide tailored solutions, and ensure the highest level of client satisfaction. Your primary goal will be to foster trust, drive revenue growth, and solidify our company's position as a partner of choice.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Client Relationship Management:

  2. Serve as the primary point of contact for an existing portfolio of key clients, building and maintaining strong, long-lasting relationships.

  3. Conduct regular client meetings and business reviews to understand their evolving needs, challenges, and strategic objectives.
  4. Proactively ensure high levels of client satisfaction and act as a liaison between the client and internal teams.

  5. Business Growth & Revenue Generation:

  6. Identify and capitalize on up-selling and cross-selling opportunities within the existing client base to achieve sales targets and drive revenue growth.

  7. Develop and implement strategic account plans for key clients to ensure continued partnership and business expansion.
  8. Penetrate new divisions and departments within existing accounts.

  9. Strategic Solutioning:

  10. Collaborate with internal technical, operational, and marketing teams to design and propose customized solutions that effectively address client requirements.

  11. Prepare and present compelling proposals, presentations, and contracts to clients.

  12. Market Intelligence & Reporting:

  13. Maintain a deep understanding of industry trends, competitor activities, and the local Durban/KZN market dynamics.

  14. Provide accurate sales forecasts and manage the sales pipeline using our CRM system.
  15. Prepare regular reports on account status, sales activities, and achievements for management.

Qualifications

  • Education: A bachelor's degree in business administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field.
  • We Require a fresher Graduate and Post-Graduate for this role.

Required Skills and Competencies

  • Exceptional Communication Skills: Fluent in English, with outstanding verbal and written communication abilities. Proficiency in isiZulu is a significant advantage for the Durban market.
  • Strong Interpersonal Skills: Ability to build rapport and trust with a diverse range of clients and stakeholders.
  • Negotiation and Persuasion: Skilled in negotiating contracts and closing deals favorably.
  • Strategic Thinker: Ability to think strategically about client needs and the broader business landscape.
  • Problem-Solver: A proactive and solutions-oriented mindset.
  • Customer-Centric: A genuine passion for client service and delivering value.
  • Tech-Savvy: Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and the Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently.
  • Resilient and able to handle rejection and challenging client situations with professionalism.
  • Highly organized with excellent time management skills.
  • Possesses a valid driver's license and own reliable vehicle, as the role involves travel within the Durban and KZN region.
