Junior Social Media Manager

This a paid, full-time role in our Cape Town office

Do you have your finger on the pulse of social media? We're looking for a Junior Social Media Manager to assist in the day-to-day social media management of our clients. You'll have support in learning the ropes, but you'll also have the space to dive in, take initiative and grow your skills.

Role and responsibilities

  • Content scheduling and publishing: Schedule and publish content according to the content calendar provided
  • Team collaboration: Work with our Social Media Manager and creative team to coordinate content delivery.
  • Platform management: Manage day-to-day posting, story sharing, and content updates across platforms.
  • Community management: Monitor, respond to, and engage with comments, messages, and DMs in a brand-appropriate manner.
  • Performance tracking: Monitor analytics and provide monthly reports on post performance and engagement metrics.
  • Influencer management: Assisting with communications, content plans and contracts.

What we're looking for

  • 1 year of experience managing social media accounts
  • Experience creating and scheduling social media content
  • Strong writing capabilities
  • Strong communication skills
  • Understanding of TikTok, Instagram Stories, Reels, and Facebook features
  • Basic understanding of social media analytics (reach, engagement, insights)
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office or Google Drive
  • Organised and proactive mindset
