Minimum Requirements:

  • National Diploma: Information Technology (Required)
  • Bachelors degree in information technology or related business field or equivalent, or relevant certifications
  • 4 to 5 years experience in a Scrum Master role or similar within IT development environment
  • Working experience with Agile Methodologies (SCRUM, SAFe)

Essential Competencies:

  • Strong formal and informal communication
  • Understanding of the development processes
  • Results oriented with ability to distinguish between needs and wants
  • Ability to comprehend technical issues
  • Enjoys planning and executing
  • High energy and commitment does what it takes attitude
  • Ability to handle pressure well
  • Experience in JIRA and Confluence essential
  • Exposure to MS Project an advantage

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the work items for an application development support team
  • Communicate planning on critical items with the client
  • Work with the client team to assign priorities to work items
  • Facilitate team events (daily stand-ups, retrospective meetings, etc.) and other meetings as required
  • Facilitate internal communication and effective collaboration
  • Keep stakeholders, both from the customer and internal, up to date on progress
  • Prepare and present reports on progress and success
  • Resolve conflicts and remove obstacles to the development teams progress
  • Help build a productive environment where team members own the product and enjoy working on it
