CNC Nester

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a CNC Nester, located in Blackheath, City of Cape Town. The CNC Nester will be responsible for preparing and optimizing nesting programs for CNC laser/punching machines, ensuring precise material flow, minimizing waste, and maximizing efficiency. The role also includes interpreting technical drawings, collaborating with production teams for project requirements, maintaining records of production activities, and performing regular checks on machine setup and operating procedures.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (SolidWorks) software and nesting software
• Strong understanding of CNC machine operation
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
• Attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and organizational abilities
• Hands-on experience with material optimization and waste reduction strategies
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills
• Knowledge of safety standards and protocols in a manufacturing environment
• Minimum 2 years' experience
