Job Title: Tower Lead – Finance Managed Services

Role Summary

The Tower Lead will hold overall accountability for Finance delivery across Customer South Africa, ensuring consistent service excellence, robust governance, and execution of the finance transformation roadmap. The role oversees end-to-end financial operations across all Finance towers, ensuring compliance with IFRS, SOX, and SARS requirements while driving continuous improvement and automation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Service Delivery & Governance

  • Provide full ownership of Finance delivery across all towers, ensuring adherence to SLAs and contractual commitments.
  • Oversee governance structures, client reviews, executive reporting, and risk management processes.
  • Manage all external and internal audits, ensuring timely resolution of findings and mitigation of control gaps.
  • Lead escalation management, ensuring issues are resolved proactively and transparently.

Financial Controls & Compliance

  • Ensure strong financial controls aligned to IFRS, SOX, SARS, and internal governance frameworks.
  • Drive process standardisation and compliance across shared services operations.

Transformation & Continuous Improvement

  • Approve and oversee the automation and digital-enablement roadmap for Finance.
  • Lead process-improvement initiatives to enhance quality, efficiency, and control effectiveness.
  • Partner with stakeholders to identify and execute transformation opportunities across all Finance towers.

Leadership & Tower Oversight

  • Lead all Finance towers, including Revenue, Expenditure, Tax, ERA, Reporting & Analytics, and Transformation.
  • Provide strategic direction, coaching, and capability development to tower leads and operational teams.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and high performance.

Qualifications & Experience

  • CA(SA) or CIMA-qualified finance professional.
  • Previous leadership experience in a BPO or Global Business Services (GBS) environment.
  • Exposure to SAP ECC and/or SAP S/4HANA is essential.
  • Minimum of 5 years' post-qualification experience in shared services, finance operations, or a similar environment.
