Job Description: Machine Attendant
Introduction:
Our Client a leading Plastic Manufacturer in Kraaifontein is searching for Casual Machine Attendants.
Key Responsibilities:
- Shift Start: At the beginning of each shift, you are responsible to familiarize yourself with all details regarding the current job running on the machine
- Cycles: Operate injection Machine within the specified cycle. Report cycle change to Setter
- Operating: Manual Jobs – Open Machine gate to remove completed product from mould. Make sure product is not scratched or get dirty marks. Once Product is removed ensure machine gate closed again
Automatic Jobs
– Ensure the production always falls directly into production crate at machine. Do Not allow crate to fill up.
- Trimming: Check that all tools/ equipment (Cutters/Bags/Boxes) required for the job are available before operating the machine.
- Pile Work: Sort, degate (remove Sprue) and trim products as specified on Production order. Ensuring pile work does not accumulate "Ophoop" by Assisting any fellow operators when finished with current task
- Assembly: Assemble product as specified on Production order, ensuring jigs are used correctly
- Packaging: Packing Instructions – Ensure production is packed in accordance with packaging instructions specified on Production order
Quantities:
Endure correct Product quantity is packed into boxes as per Production order
Labels-
Responsible for labelling own production box, ensuring box is labelled correctly. All Production boxes must go through weighing Station by end of shifte
- Problems at machines: Immediately inform quality/Setter when problems occur at any of the machines affecting production targets, e.g.
- Shortage of raw materials
- Shortage of packaging materials
- Any quality defects on components
- Unable to start machine
- Machine alarm cannot be switched off
Minimum Requirements:
- Matric
- Able to work night and day shifts
