H.M. Prison Langi Kal Kal is a minimum-security men's protection prison located 140klm west of Melbourne at Trawalla. The prison's primary purpose is to prepare male prisoners for transition, reintegration, and release. As a working farm with eight separate industries, there is a strong focus on employment, training, and work readiness.

About The Role
Rostering plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient operation of the location by managing staff deployments and rostering.

Some Of Your Duties Will Include

• Assisting with the development of rosters and takin carriage for publishing fortnightly rosters, up to 6 weeks in advance, ensuring adequate coverage and compliance with relevant policies and the VPS Agreement
• Monitoring and maintaining rosters daily, adjusting to accommodate changes such as leave requests, unplanned absences and operational needs
• Maintaining rostering information on TimeTarget (e.g. Leave planner, Forecast Tool, and Compliance task list), employee databases and establishments.

Officers operate on a rotating 14-day roster, which involves weekend and public holiday work, remunerated in accordance with the applicable provisions of the 2024 VPS Enterprise Agreement.
About You
As an ideal candidate, you will possess:

• Demonstrable experience and proficiency in the use of rostering-based systems, such as TimeTarget/Humanforce or Kronos, and understanding of rostering principles for planning and maintaining multiple staff roster lines.
• Demonstrable experience understanding and advising on enterprise awards and agreements as they relate to rostering.
• Knowledge and experience in rostering, human resource services and/ or payroll processing

Qualifications/Requirements

• A relevant qualification in human resources, finance or business administration is highly desirable
