Job Title: Part-time Aftercare Facilitator

School Description: Mulberry Tree Montessori is a small school situated in Bergvliet, Cape Town, comprising one Infant Community and one 3 to 6 environment, serving children from 18 months to 6 years of age.

Start date: Immediate

Position Overview: Working hours are 11:00 to 17:00 during term times.

Requirements:

Be calm, kind and have a genuine passion for working with children.

Facilitate activities and care for children ages 18 months to 6 years old from 11h00 to 17h00 from Mondays to Fridays during term times.

Assist in planning the curriculum for the indoor and outdoor activities for children.

Facilitate snack times.

Clean up and keep aftercare areas tidy.

Support a happy and safe environment for children at Mulberry Tree Montessori.

Be able to communicate professionally and effectively with guardians, children, and team members.

Familiarity with child development is a plus.

Being a dependable, flexible team player is vital.

Must be reliable and have good time management and planning skills.

Education/Training/Qualification requirements:

A Montessori qualification would be preferable; however, newly qualified candidates or persons who are in the process of completing their qualification would be considered.

Paediatric First Aid certificate is beneficial

Police clearance certificate

Remuneration: Salary will be based on experience and qualifications.
