Job Description:

The Healthcare Administrator will provide administrative support to the Healthcare Consultants. The role ensures smooth operations, accurate data management, and effective communication with individual members and different medical schemes.

Responsibilities:
Administrative Support:
  • Assist the Healthcare Consultants with day-to-day administrative tasks related to individual medical aid members.
  • Maintain and update client records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Policy and Claims Management:
  • Assist with onboarding new individual members onto healthcare plans, including plan selection and member registration.
  • Track and follow up on claims, amendments, and changes to individual members healthcare plans.
  • Monitor new applications, additions, or changes in healthcare coverage and ensure timely processing.
Reporting and Data Management:
  • Maintain a secure and organised database of client information, adhering to confidentiality and data protection protocols.
Collaboration and Coordination:
  • Liaise with insurers, healthcare providers, and other third-party service providers to resolve issues and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Support the Health Care Consultant in developing and implementing client-specific healthcare strategies and solutions
Minimum requirements:
  • Grade 12 fully completed
  • 5+ years relevant healthcare/medical aid work experience within the medical aid services industry
  • NQF5 qualification and RE5 (will be an advantage)
  • Computer literacy (MS Office)
Competencies required:
  • Strong organisational and multitasking abilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Attention to detail and ability to handle sensitive information with discretion
  • Knowledge of healthcare benefits and medical schemes
