Introduction

Our client, a leading payment aggregator and provider of secure digital payment solutions, is seeking a Network Customer Relationship Manager to join their expanding team. This role is responsible for strengthening and growing relationships with digital and banking payment networks to enhance service delivery, optimise transaction performance, and support strategic business growth.

The ideal candidate is a proactive and strategic thinker with strong relationship-building, product management, problem-solving, and analytical capabilities. You will take full ownership of a portfolio of payment networks—driving retention, expansion, and continuous innovation

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Manage, maintain, and grow relationships with digital and banking payment networks to increase transaction volumes.
  • Develop and execute sales strategies with payment partners to support business goals.
  • Support onboarding of new payment networks, collaborating with Operations, Finance, and IT on contracts, fees, and technical integrations.
  • Ensure successful delivery and enhancement of products and services, addressing queries and technical requirements.
  • Monitor performance trends, analyse data, and forecast sales volumes to guide business decisions.
  • Identify market movements, competitive insights, and innovation opportunities to refine business strategies.
  • Represent the company at industry events, expos, and networking opportunities to support strategic partnerships.
  • Collaborate with Marketing on campaigns, collateral, and promotional activities within payment networks.
  • Expand payment network relationships across Africa, identifying and driving regional growth opportunities.
  • Track and report on business development progress, including transaction performance, market insights, and solution effectiveness.
Desired Experience & Qualification
  • Relevant tertiary qualification.
  • 5–8 years' experience within fintech, banking, or the payments environment.
  • Proven experience in business development and scaling initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of the digital ecosystem, product management, and product development.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and data analytics tools.
  • Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel.
  • Fluent in English with good understanding of Afrikaans; additional African languages are an advantage.
