Purpose of the Job:
To oversee all structural engineering design, analysis, and project execution while providing technical leadership and mentorship to the engineering team
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree (B.Eng. in Civil/Structural Engineering)
- Between years' experience.
- Must be registered as a Pr Eng/Tech (Pr Eng preferred)
- Software skills advantageous: Prokon SUMO, Robot, Revit and IDEAStatica
- Technically strong, understand first principle calculations, execute/oversee designs and have attention to detail.
- Understand BOQs and how to populate BOQs
- Must be willing to travel to see clients

- Be able to do a project schedule, understand the interconnectivity of the various activities and maintain the schedule for structural works.
- Must have experience in most of the following:
- Apply the loading code, advantageous to have experience in crane and seismic loading.
- Structural steel design, including design of steel connections
- Reinforced concrete design
- Check drawings and bending schedules
- Masonry design
- Timber design
- Must be able to work autonomously
- Ability to mentor a young team
- Take ownership of the structures team
- Communicate with senior management regarding progress
- Take initiative and identify areas where we as a structure team can improve
- Lead by example.
