Our client is seeking a detail-driven Construction Estimator to prepare accurate cost estimates for construction projects across commercial, residential and infrastructure sectors. The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, understands construction methods, and can work closely with project teams to ensure competitive and realistic pricing.

Duties:
  • Analyse drawings, specifications, and project documents to prepare detailed estimates.
  • Compile bills of quantities (BoQs) and cost breakdowns.
  • Source, evaluate, and negotiate pricing with suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Prepare tender documents, budgets, and cost reports.
  • Participate in tender adjudications and pricing reviews.
  • Identify cost risks, value-engineering opportunities, and potential savings.
  • Work closely with Project Managers and Quantity Surveyors on project cost control.
  • Keep up to date with material prices, labour rates, and market trends.
Requirements:
  • National Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • 3–7 years' experience as an Estimator in the construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and local pricing.
  • Experience with CCS Candy, BuildSmart, or similar estimating software.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
  • Excellent numerical accuracy, attention to detail, and deadline management.
