We are currently looking for a visionary 
Events Head Chef
 to lead the culinary experience across events, retreats, private celebrations, and custom outdoor events.

This role is a rare opportunity to showcase creativity in a setting that embraces sustainability, champions local ingredients, and delivers genuine, heartfelt hospitality.

  • Lead the culinary vision and execution
     for a diverse range of events—from intimate outdoor gatherings to luxurious celebrations, weddings and conferences.
  • Design seasonal menus
     that highlight ingredients from our hotel gardens and trusted artisanal producers.
  • Manage kitchen operations
     across multiple event spaces, ensuring consistency, excellence, and refined presentation at every touchpoint.
  • Work hand-in-hand with events and front-of-house teams
     to deliver experiences that are as unforgettable as they are delicious.
  • Inspire, guide, and develop a skilled kitchen team,
     nurturing both creativity and discipline in the pursuit of culinary excellence.

  • Must be a South African citizen or hold a valid work permit.

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in event catering, banqueting, or fine dining—preferably within boutique hotels, luxury lodges, or destination venues.
  • Demonstrated success in leading large-scale events and outdoor dining experiences.
  • Passionate about local, seasonal ingredients, with a strong commitment to sustainable and thoughtful cooking.
  • Composed and creative under pressure, with a genuine passion for creating meals that foster connection and a sense of place.
