Mainframe Assembler (HLASM) Developer

About the Role:

We're hiring a Mainframe Assembler Developer to support and enhance our existing HLASM modules within a critical banking/enterprise system. You will work closely with technical leads and business analysts to maintain and evolve assembler programs in a high-performance computing environment.

• Support integration with COBOL and database access modules
• Work with JCL and other mainframe utilities

Requirements:

• 5-15 years of experience with HLASM on IBM mainframes
• Cobol, C++ or C#
• Proficient with JCL, TSO/ISPF, and debugging tools
• Familiarity with z/Architecture, assembler macros, and I/O processing
• Good understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC)

Key Responsibilities:

• Write and maintain HLASM code for business-critical systems
• Debug and test assembler code using z/OS tools
• Participate in peer code reviews
