Role Description

This is a 12 month, on-site Veterinary Internship role located in Paarl. The intern will assist with a variety of day-to-day tasks, including examining patients, administering treatments, assisting in surgeries, and providing emergency care. Additional responsibilities include assisting with diagnostics, client communication, and maintaining patient records. The intern will work closely with experienced veterinarians to gain practical experience and enhance their veterinary skills. The intern will follow a rotation and be exposed to all internal departments, including surgery, medicine, oncology, GP, After hour critical care etc.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of animal care, treatment, and diagnostics
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle stressful situations
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new techniques and procedures
• A passion for veterinary medicine and animal welfare
• Bachelor's degree in Veterinary Science and CCS year completed.

• Previous experience in a veterinary clinic or hospital is a plus
