Job Description

To design, facilitate, and deliver engaging, evidence-based fitness and physical wellbeing programmes within the Employees Assistance Programme. The Fitness Coach supports employee wellbeing by providing virtual fitness sessions, group webinars, and individual telephonic or online consultations, promoting sustainable lifestyle habits and physical health aligned with the EAP's holistic wellness approach.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILTIES

Programme Delivery

  • Deliver one-on-one and group fitness coaching sessions via telephone, virtual platforms, in-person and webinars
  • Facilitate interactive group sessions focussed on physical health, movement, stress relief through exercise, and building sustainable routines
  • Develop and present monthly or thematic fitness-related webinars in collaboration with the wellness and counselling teams
  • Create tailored exercise recommendations suitable for different fitness levels and health conditions (within scope)
  • Promote safe, effective, and inclusive physical activity practices

Content and Engagement

  • Contribute to EAP wellness content (articles, short videos clips, tip sheets) focusing on physical wellbeing and movement
  • Collaborate with the marketing and clinical teams to align physical health initiatives with broader wellness themes
  • Assist in designing campaign material and fitness challenges that encourage employee participation and movement

Monitoring and Reporting

  • Maintain accurate and confidential client records in accordance with organisational and POPIA standards
Qualifications

PERSON DETAILS: WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Minimum 2 – 3 years' experience in fitness coaching, health promotion, or wellness facilitation
  • Experience delivering virtual or group fitness sessions (webinars, online classes or telephonic coaching)
  • Prior experience in a corporate wellness environment is highly advantageous

EDUCATION: QUALIFICATIONS: ACCREDITATIONS WITH PROFESSIONAL BODY REQUIRED

  • National Diploma or Degree in Exercise Science, Human Movement, Sports Science, or related field
  • Certification in Personal Training or Health / Fitness Coaching from a recognised body
  • Additional certification in corporate wellness, holistic health or behavioural change coaching advantageous
