Senior Sales Lead

Johannesburg, South Africa (Hybrid)

An established international organisation in the industrial energy solutions space is looking for an experienced
Sales Lead
to support the expansion of performance-based energy projects across mining and heavy industrial operations.

This position sits at the intersection of commercial leadership, technical understanding, and strategic relationship building. It suits someone confident managing long sales cycles, engaging senior stakeholders, and navigating complex industrial buying environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver a regional sales strategy focused on high-energy-use industrial clients across Sub-Saharan Africa.
  • Manage the full sales journey - discovery, scoping, proposal development, negotiation, and contract completion.
  • Build strong relationships with senior decision makers, including engineering, finance, procurement, and C-suite executives.
  • Provide market intelligence on client needs, operational priorities, and broader sector trends.
  • Collaborate with internal technical and commercial teams to shape credible proposals and financial value cases.

Experience & Background

  • Demonstrated experience in B2B sales or business development within industrial, mining, or energy-related environments.
  • Strong track record selling complex engineering or technology solutions through extended sales cycles.
  • Confidence engaging senior stakeholders and leading structured commercial negotiations.

You'll play a key role in supporting industrial clients on their journey toward improved energy performance, operational efficiency, and long-term sustainability. The work carries meaningful commercial responsibility and a direct impact on cost, performance, and environmental outcomes.
