Role Description
This is a full-time role for a Workshop Manager located on-site in the Germiston Metropolitan Area. The Workshop Manager will oversee daily operations in the workshop, ensuring compliance with safety standards, production schedules, and quality control procedures. Responsibilities include managing a team of technicians, coordinating repair and refurbishment projects, maintaining inventory levels, and implementing operational improvements to enhance efficiency and productivity. The role requires effective communication with clients and internal teams to meet project deadlines and deliver exceptional service.
Qualifications
- Strong technical expertise in wear linings for mineral processing equipment, refurbishing, and workshop operations
- Team management and leadership skills, including the ability to delegate, train, and supervise staff
- Knowledge of inventory management, production scheduling, and quality control processes
- Effective communication skills for client interaction and internal collaboration
- Problem-solving and decision-making abilities to address operational challenges
- Experience in the mining or related industries is beneficial
- Proficiency in workshop management tools and software is an added advantage
- Relevant technical or engineering qualifications and certifications
