Introduction

A client in the Manufacturing industry based in Roodepoort is looking for a Mechanical Draughtsman to join their team

Duties & Responsibilities

Develop detailed 2D and 3D mechanical drawings and assemblies using Autodesk Inventor.

Work closely with engineers and production teams to translate design concepts into practical and manufacturable drawings.

Create and maintain drawing files, technical documentation, and design libraries (including CSS file management).

Review and update existing designs to improve functionality, manufacturability, and efficiency.

Ensure all drawings comply with industry standards, company specifications, and quality requirements.

Provide technical support during the production and assembly stages.

Participate in design reviews and provide constructive input for design improvement.

Desired Experience & Qualification

Proficient in Autodesk Inventor and other CAD software.

Strong understanding of mechanical design principles and engineering drawings.

Hands-on and technically minded with excellent attention to detail.

Ability to interpret complex drawings and technical documentation.

Strong organizational and file management skills (including expert knowledge of CSS and technical file structures).

Good communication and teamwork abilities.

Problem-solving mindset with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
