Working hours: Monday – Saturday: 13h30 – 17h30 (24 hours per week)

A lovely family is looking for an Au pair for their 2 children

Area: Houghton Estate

Child's Age: 3 year old boy - level 1 autism (Non-verbal)

Child's Neurodivergence Snapshot: A Level 1 autistic, partially non-verbal little boy who may use some words but not full sentences consistently. He is easy-going, sensory seeking, and loves exploring outdoors - leaves, sticks, and rocks are his favorite.

Support Style: He responds best to patient, interactive, play-based learning that encourages communication, such as puzzles, numbers, imaginative play, and hands-on outdoor activities. OT and speech therapy strategies are helpful, as are visual supports, small clear instructions, and gentle repetition. Calm, structured environments, sensory play, and positive reinforcement help him stay regulated and engaged.

Working hours: Monday – Saturday: 13h30 – 17h30 (24 hours per week)

School holiday hours: same/ similar to above

Duties: Engaging in intellectually stimulating play & activities with child, assist with pretend play and speech development, Occasional Babysitting and weekend work (by prior arrangement), Travel with the family

Special Requirements: Female, 20-30's, background in education/tutoring, remedial background is beneficial, someone patient

School/Curriculum: Play school

Start Date and contract term: Oct – permanent

Salary: R R13 000 per month + SARS rates per km

All Au Pair Extraordinaire applicants must fill the following requirements:

***Must have at least 12 consecutive months of formal child-caring experience, excluding work done for friends and family. This experience must be within the last 2 years.

***Must have their own, reliable car and at least 18 months driving experience.

***Must have at least 2 contactable childcare references.

***Must have a clear criminal record

***Must have a passion for children

***Must have Matric

***Must have a South African ID document.
