Reports to: SHAWCO Law Project Manager

Duties:

Creating content for social media

- creating infographics/graphics that are informative and aligned with the project's branding.

- taking pictures/videos of the sessions, volunteers, learners, and committee members.

Managing SHAWCO Law's social media presence:

- posting weekly content to keep people informed about the project's activities.

- answering questions, queries and messages on social media.

- growing SHAWCO Law's social media presence.

- encouraging learners and volunteers to follow the project's social media pages and share content.

Other duties:

- Market the project to law firms for sponsorship.

- Form bonds with other like-minded organizations as well as Gaby Ritchie (UCT Law Marketing Manager) and get them to post our events /content.

- Promote LAWCO on campus – this involves planning any awareness or fundraising events that you see fit.

- Promote the project at Kramer week.

Requirements:

  • Be a registered UCT law student in the academic year(s
  • Completion of the Constitutional Law course (PBL200W).
  • Be committed to the mission of SHAWCO organization.
  • Have excellent marketing, event planning, time management, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Be passionate about community development.
  • Having previous experience in leadership would be advantageous.
  • Be in good academic standing.
