In-Line Freight Solutions
is seeking an experienced
Export Controller
to join our Operations Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing end-to-end export processes across
air, sea, and road freight
, ensuring all shipments are handled efficiently, compliantly, and on time.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage export shipments, bookings, and container planning.
  • Prepare and verify export documentation and customs declarations.
  • Liaise with shipping lines, airlines, transporters, and customs officials.
  • Ensure full compliance with SARS, ITAC, NRCS, and other regulatory bodies.
  • Monitor shipment progress, resolve issues, and maintain audit-ready records.
  • Engage directly with clients, providing expert guidance on export procedures.
  • Support digital transformation and continuous process improvement.

Skills & Experience

  • Minimum
    5 years' experience
    in export operations or freight forwarding.
  • Strong understanding of
    customs clearance, Incoterms, and HS codes
    .
  • Proficient in
    SARS eFiling, Customs Modernisation, and freight systems
    .
  • Advanced
    Excel
    skills;
    Power BI
    experience an advantage.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and time management abilities.
  • High level of integrity, accuracy, and professionalism.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or Degree in
    Logistics, Supply Chain, or International Trade
    .
  • SARS Customs Accreditation
    preferred.
  • Experience handling
    medical, DG, or high-value cargo
    advantageous.
