Hire Resolve is currently seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior Quantity Surveyor to join our client's team in Pretoria. As a Junior Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for assisting senior quantity surveyors in managing cost management and quantity surveying tasks in property development. You will work closely with clients, contractors, and project teams to ensure successful project delivery. Responsibilities
  • Assist in preparing cost estimates, budgets, and schedules for property development projects
  • Support in managing quantity surveying tasks, including take-offs, measurements, and valuations
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure accurate cost control and adherence to budget
  • Prepare and maintain project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and progress reports
  • Participate in site visits and inspections to monitor project progress and identify potential issues
  • Ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations and standards
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in quantity surveying or a similar role
  • Proficiency in quantity surveying software (such as WinQS, Candy, or BuildSmart)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Willingness to travel to project sites as required
