Job description:

We are seeking a talented and motivated JR Sous Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team. As the Jr. Sous Chef, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations, maintaining food quality, and leading the team to deliver exceptional dining experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in menu development, food preparation, and presentation.
  • Supervise kitchen staff and ensure smooth daily operations.
  • Maintain high standards of hygiene and food safety compliance.
  • Manage inventory, stock levels, and food cost control.
  • Train and mentor junior kitchen staff to enhance team performance.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Jr. Sous Chef or similar role in a high-paced kitchen.
  • MUST have your own reliable transport to and from work. IE: motorcar or motorbike DO NOT APPLY IF YOU DONT HAVE YOUR OWN RELIABLE TRANSPORT
  • PREFERABLY LIVE IN THE SOUTHERN SUBURBS
  • Strong leadership skills with a passion for culinary excellence.
  • Knowledge of kitchen operations, food safety, and quality control.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Culinary qualification or relevant experience is advantageous.
