Regional IT Director

We currently have an opportunity with our Global Client for a Regional IT Director to manage the relationship between the IT function and Regional Businesses. Alignment of IT strategy to meet business objectives within a Global IT framework, as well as driving innovation whilst overseeing the delivery of IT services and projects will be key. As the role will be based on site in the East Rand, traveling into Kenya, Nigeria, Ethiopia including Europe and the USA will also be required. The role is part of the Global Leadership team and works within a matrix managed IT organization.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Work with the IT Leadership team to develop Global strategies and innovative technology solutions.

Align and implement Regional IT roadmaps and strategies in alignment with Global policies.

Oversee Regional IT budgets within a wider Global IT budgetary structure.

Work alongside the Global delivery teams, prioritise and oversee Regional IT projects.

Drive innovation and continuous improvement into IT processes and solutions.

Provide in-country support, guidance and mentoring for the Regional IT team.

Work with the CISO team to ensure the security and integrity of regional IT systems and data.

Ensure compliance with IT policies, regulatory requirements and industry standards.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's Degree (IT / Computer Science).
  • Proven experience in a Senior IT Leadership role preferably within a Regional or multi-site environment
  • Strong technical skills (IT infrastructure, Systems, Software Applications).
  • Budget Management
  • Knowledge of IT security practices and compliance standards.
  • Experience in managing IT projects and driving technology business transformations.
  • Leadership and team development.
