Sales Representative – Motor Dealer

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Professional to join our Motor Dealer segment in Gauteng. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving sales growth through proactive prospecting, relationship management, and effective customer engagement. This role places a strong emphasis on new business development and building long-term partnerships with motor dealerships.
Key Responsibilities
- Achieve and exceed allocated sales targets within the Motor Dealer industry.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with allocated motor dealers to drive repeat business.
- Identify and pursue new customers and business opportunities to expand market share.
- Conduct regular dealer visits as per the call cycle to maintain relationships, provide support, and resolve issues.
- Monitor and report on market trends, competitor activity, and emerging sales opportunities.
- Deliver prompt and professional service to both internal and external clients.
- Ensure timeous and accurate processing of orders in line with company systems and documentation standards.
- Prepare and submit sales and performance reports on time.
- Network and promote the company's brand presence within the motor dealer segment.
- Maintain accurate commission records and ensure proper claim submissions.
- Share insights and best practices with colleagues to enhance team performance.
Knowledge, Skills, and Attributes
- Strong sales personality with a proven ability to close deals.
- Excellent marketing and presentation skills, with the ability to engage both individuals and corporate clients.
- Solid understanding and application of sales methodologies.
- Skilled in relationship building, negotiation, and conflict resolution.
- Results-driven, target-oriented, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Analytical and detail-oriented, with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Competitive and proactive mindset with a hunger for new business opportunities.
- Ability to perform effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications and Experience
- Matric / Senior Certificate (required).
- Diploma in Sales or Marketing (advantageous).
- 2 – 4 years' experience in direct sales, preferably within the automotive or motor dealer industry.
- Must have a valid driver's license, own reliable vehicle, and cell phone.
