About the Role
As the Workshop Administrator, you will play a vital role in supporting the day-to-day activities of the workshop team. You'll be the central point of coordination—ensuring that work orders are accurate, parts are available, customer updates are timely, and technicians have everything they need to deliver outstanding service.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, problem-solving, and taking ownership of administrative processes that improve efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Duties & ResponsibilitiesCoordinate daily workshop schedules and allocate jobs to technicians
Create, update and close service orders and job cards
Liaise with customers regarding booking, progress updates and completion times
Order and manage parts, ensuring timely availability for booked work
Maintain accurate records, including invoices, warranties and compliance documentation
Monitor workflow, highlight delays and support the Workshop Manager with reporting
Assist with front-of-house tasks when required, including greeting customers and handling enquiries
Previous experience in an automotive workshop or service department (highly desirable)
Strong administrative and organisational skills
Excellent communication and customer service abilities
Comfortable working in a busy, fast-paced environment
Proficiency in workshop management or dealer management systems (e.g., Kerridge, Autoline, Pinnacle) is a plus
A proactive mindset with the ability to prioritise and problem-solve
R15 000 CTC to R20 000 CTC per month based on qualifications and experience
