JUNIOR PROFESSIONAL ARCHITECT / JUNIOR DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

We are currently looking for an ambitious, vibrant and energetic individual who has an interest in the Property Industry, to join our team as a full time
Junior Professional Architect
or
Junior Development Manager.

This position is specifically based in
JOHANNEBSURG
and will require regular travel between Johannesburg and Cape Town
.

If you are
FULLY
Revit proficient, technically minded with a creative bent, and extremely ambitious, this role will suit you. This role will report directly to the Managing Director of a large property development firm, designing high density, high rise residential and student accommodation. You will be ablet to add your creative flair to brand new residential developments. You must be a registered architect, but you will gain exposure to the full life cycle of property development.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The duties will include, but are not limited to:

  • Assist in the preparation of architectural designs, drawings, and presentations.
  • Support project teams in developing concepts and detailed design solutions.
  • Participate in site visits, inspections and meetings with contractors.
  • Prepare documentation for council submissions and approvals.
  • Collaborate with consultants, contractors and internal teams throughout project phases.
  • Ensure compliance with local building codes and regulations.
  • Stay current with industry trends, materials and technologies.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's and/or Master's Degree in Architecture or Architectural Technology.
  • 2-3 years' experience post-registration experience in architecture.
  • Registered with SACAP as a Candidate or Professional Architect.
  • Proficiency in architectural software (Revit software is essential).
  • Strong technical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong design sensibility and attention to detail.
  • Technical Knowledge - expertise in building products, construction details, and relevant rules and quality standards.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and take initiative.
  • Professional.

  • Own transportation.
  • Proficient in English.
