Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Rigging Superintendent based in the City of Cape Town. The Rigging Superintendent will oversee and coordinate all rigging-related activities, ensuring operations are aligned with project specifications, safety standards, and efficiency goals. Responsibilities include supervising rigging teams, inspecting equipment for safety compliance, planning lifts and rigging setups, and collaborating with other teams to ensure project timelines are met. The role involves maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and operational excellence in all rigging activities.

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge and experience in rigging operations, including equipment handling, set-up, and maintenance
  • Leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to manage and coordinate teams effectively
  • Knowledge of safety protocols, risk assessment, and compliance standards in rigging and lifting operations
  • Technical expertise in planning and executing lifts, including interpreting blueprints and rigging layouts
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills to collaborate with clients, contractors, and internal teams
  • Relevant certifications or training in rigging and lifting operations, such as a Rigging Certificate
  • Prior experience in industrial, construction, or similar operational environments is preferred
