Job Purpose

The Business Development Specialist is responsible for identifying, developing, and securing new business opportunities for Medaco. This includes building relationships with key stakeholders across municipalities, government, and the private sector, managing the sales pipeline, and achieving measurable growth targets through solution-driven sales strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for driving business growth through strategic planning, client relationship management
  • Building partnerships with municipalities, corporates, and government agencies.
  • Developing and implementing strategies to acquire new clients. Doing research to find new opportunities where Medaco Revenue Solutions can grow and offer more services
  • Develops proposals, manages client onboarding, and supports pricing strategies
  • Conducting market research, analyzing trends, and identifying new business opportunities, including potential markets and client needs.
  • Building relationships with potential partners and collaborators to expand the company's reach and capabilities.
  • Define and manage a realistic pipeline that meets and exceeds annual targets
  • Source, qualify, and convert leads into signed clients. Drive the full sales cycle from initial contact to deal closure.
  • Sales Strategy & Reporting: Track pipeline activity, forecast revenue, and maintain CRM records (Pipedrive) to support strategic decisions.
  • Client acquisition: Cold call and network to secure new clients for the debt collection services.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum Matric
  • Bachelor's degree in business management or related field
  • Minimum 3- 5 years of B2B sales experience
  • 5+ years demonstrated success in converting leads and closing deals.
  • Strong understanding of solution-based selling and client needs analysis.
  • Preferred experience in debt collection services, professional services, with extensive network
