About the Role:

A respected private educational institution in Middelburg is seeking a qualified and enthusiastic
Natural Sciences Teacher
to join their high school team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering the
Grade 8–9
Natural Sciences curriculum, fostering curiosity and critical thinking, and preparing learners for academic success.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Teach Natural Sciences to Grades 8–9 learners in accordance with the CAPS (or IEB) curriculum
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans and learning materials
  • Prepare and assess formal and informal assessments, including tests and projects
  • Monitor learner progress and provide academic support where needed
  • Maintain a disciplined and inclusive classroom environment
  • Participate in school functions, meetings, and professional development activities
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure curriculum alignment and academic excellence

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Education (B.Ed) or relevant degree with PGCE
  • Specialisation in Natural Sciences, Physical Sciences, or Life Sciences
  • Valid SACE registration
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience teaching Natural Sciences at Senior Phase
  • Proficient in digital teaching tools and platforms
