Responsibilities
Job Overview:
Qualified Artisan with a Millwright Trade Certificate.

• Repairs and maintenance to all plants and machinery.
• Attend to breakdowns on the plant. Assist other Maintenance Artisans with complex fault finding.
• Ensure that all scheduled preventative maintenance is adhered to.
• Daily inspections of allocated machines as per maintenance plan.
• Basi PLC programming and automation of machines and systems in plant.
• Working shifts from time to time if needed and attend to breakdowns.
• Working standby duties.
• Working knowledge of pneumatic, hydraulic and mechanical repairs.
• Automate and improve efficiency of machinery, plant and production lines.
• Perform planned maintenance on machinery and equipment.
• Fit, inspect, test and repair MCC, circuits and wiring systems and electrical equipment.
• Install and commission machinery and equipment.

Qualifications

• Grade 12.
• Qualified Artisan: Millwright.
• 5 years' relevant experience within the manufacturing/grain/Packing environment.
• Relevant Technical Trade (N3).
• Knowledge and experience with variable speed drives.
• Knowledge and experience on level sensors, pressure sensors, temperature sensors and flow sensors.
• Sound understanding and application of OSHA regulations.
• Computer literate.
