Our Client is looking for PROCUREMENT SUPERVISOR – LONGMEADOW
Duties & Responsibilities Purpose of the Role
An established and dynamic organization in Longmeadow is seeking an experienced Procurement Supervisor to manage all aspects of purchasing — both local and international — to ensure operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness. You will lead and develop the procurement team, implement strategic sourcing practices, and build strong supplier relationships to deliver maximum value and quality.
Key Responsibilities
Establish and implement purchasing policies, procedures, and best practices.
Lead, manage, and mentor a team of buyers and procurement staff.
Oversee local and international purchasing operations.
Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers for cost-effective deals.
Ensure supplier and vendor compliance with contracts and regulations.
Build and maintain strategic supplier relationships.
Develop purchasing budgets and monitor variances.
Maintain an approved supplier/vendor database.
Drive continuous improvement of procurement processes.
Collaborate with departments to manage inventory and ensure timely orders.
Troubleshoot cost, quality, and delivery challenges.
Experience Required
Minimum 10 years' experience in purchasing and procurement.
Minimum 5 years' experience in a supervisory or management role.
Experience in international purchasing (highly advantageous).
Strong understanding of:
Procurement & contract law
Customs, tariffs, and freight regulations
VAT & import/export procedures
Proficient in MS Office and MRP/ERP systems.
Strong financial and analytical acumen.
