Job Description:
Our client is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Representative to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for promoting and selling their AI-powered supply chain visibility solutions to businesses across various industries. This role requires a proactive approach to identifying new business opportunities, building strong relationships, and achieving sales targets. The Sales Representative will play a pivotal role in expanding their market presence in South Africa and driving sustainable growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Business Development: Identify and target potential businesses in industries such as logistics, manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, and retail, leveraging our supply chain visibility solutions to address their needs.
- Sales Strategy Execution: Develop and implement effective sales strategies to acquire new business, meet or exceed sales targets, and expand our customer base.
- Relationship Management: Build and maintain long-term relationships, understanding their supply chain challenges and proposing tailored solutions to drive value.
- Product Demonstrations and Presentations: Deliver compelling presentations and demonstrations of our platform, highlighting features such as asset intelligence, shipment intelligence, and AI-driven insights.
- Market Research: Conduct research to identify market trends, customer needs, and competitive offerings, using insights to refine sales approaches and strategies.
- CRM Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities, interactions, and pipeline progress in the company's CRM system.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing, product, and technical teams to ensure alignment on needs and solution delivery.
- Reporting: Provide regular updates on sales performance, market feedback, and opportunities for growth to the Sales Manager.
Qualifications and Experience
- Education: Bachelors degree or diploma in Business, Marketing, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (preferred but not essential).
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of proven experience in B2B sales, preferably in technology, logistics, or supply chain solutions.
- Industry Knowledge: Understanding of supply chain processes, logistics, or asset management is highly advantageous.
- Track Record: Demonstrated success in meeting or exceeding sales targets and building relationships.

- Sales Expertise: Strong negotiation, closing, and consultative selling skills.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to deliver persuasive presentations.
- Technical Aptitude: Ability to understand and articulate complex technical solutions to non-technical stakeholders.
- Relationship Building: Exceptional interpersonal skills to foster trust and long-term partnerships.
- Analytical Thinking: Ability to analyze market trends and needs to tailor sales strategies.
- Time Management: Highly organized, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple accounts effectively.
- Tech-Savvy: Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and Microsoft Office Suite.
