Scale Shore Consulting is seeking a skilled and service-driven 1st / 2nd Line Support Engineer to join our team. This is a key role providing technical support for telecoms services, ensuring cases are handled efficiently, accurately, and professionally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1st and 2nd line support for broadband, leased lines, and 3CX phone systems.
  • Troubleshoot connectivity, routing, and telephony issues using diagnostic tools.
  • Configure routers, firewalls, SIP trunks, and 3CX systems.
  • Manage support tickets end-to-end with clear, accurate updates and timely resolution.
  • Liaise with network providers and internal teams to resolve escalations.
  • Maintain detailed documentation and contribute to process improvements.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in telecoms, ISP, or VoIP support.
  • Knowledge of broadband/leased line technologies (FTTC, FTTP, Ethernet).
  • Experience with 3CX phone systems and router configuration (DrayTek, MikroTik, Zyxel, Cisco).
  • Strong understanding of network fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, NAT, routing, VPNs).
  • Excellent customer service, communication, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple tickets and prioritise effectively.

Desirable:

  • 3CX certification.
  • Familiarity with VoIP protocols (SIP, RTP, QoS).
  • Experience with broadband diagnostics portals and SLA-driven environments.
