Introduction
The incumbent will provide financial and administrative support to ensure accurate and timely accounting records for Lomeza Group. The role focuses on maintaining financial integrity through efficient bookkeeping, reconciliations, and assistance with financial reporting.
Principal Accountabilities
- Prepare and analyze financial statements in terms of IFRS
- Work with external auditors during year-end audits
- Ensures timely and accurate monthly and annual financial reporting in line with group reporting standards and deadlines
- Maintain, reconcile and review monthly ledger accounts reconciliations
- Review and submit statutory returns (VAT, PAYE, Payroll)
- Reconciliation of accounts & preparation/verification of ledger entries
- Assistance in the preparation of monthly reporting packages & other reports/inquiries
- Interaction with other departments to resolve issues arising from postings, payments and reporting
- Monitor the day-to-day financial operations within the companies
- Management and reconciliations of group intercompany accounts and follow up on mismatches
- Liaise with the CFO to ensure appropriate monitoring of company finances is maintained
- Managing Accounts Payable and Receivable
- Supporting annual budget preparation and analyzing monthly actuals vs budget.
- On-site visits for audit preparation and internal control system implementations
- Loading of invoices, arranging payment of invoices & reconciliations.
- Reconciliation of the bank statements
- Responsible for Stock management and annual or ad hoc stock count
- Responsible for waste management recycle invoices
- Reconciliation of supplier accounts on the monthly basis and resolve any queries that may arise

- Ability to reach deadlines and work for additional hours during the monthly/year end closing
- Good written and verbal communication skills

Required Qualifications
- BCom Accounting
- Sage Evolution / Sage 200
- CaseWare
- Experienced in financial accounting
- Good working knowledge of IFRS
- Very good working knowledge of Excel
- Strong Information Technology systems experience
- 2-3 years of relevant work experience, part of which gained in a mining company environment.
